Mark
After training as an architect, Mark moved into design and technology, building a strong track record of delivering data-driven solutions. His multidisciplinary background spans design, print, and large-scale web application development for data-centric systems.
With over 20 years of agency experience prior to consulting, Mark successfully grew and managed a digital department of web designers and developers. This in-house capability enabled the agency to operate with greater agility, win pitches, and deliver complex technical projects under tight deadlines.
Mark has led key projects for high-profile clients, including a global shipping platform for TNT Direct (FedEx), a bespoke cross-brand events management system for Volkswagen Group (VW, Audi, SEAT, SKODA), an energy regulatory labelling solution for Wolseley (the UK’s largest supplier of building materials), and a product data bridge for SEAT. As a Google Admin, he also managed the agency’s IT infrastructure, overseeing data governance, GDPR compliance, and Cyber Essentials certification.
A data enthusiast, Mark has transitioned his advanced Excel skills to cloud-based Google Sheets, leveraging functions like REGEX and QUERY for powerful data manipulation and online collaboration. He also works with Snowflake and Google BigQuery, using SQL to process and analyse large datasets.
Outside of work, Mark enjoys indoor rock climbing, drawing, photography & retouching, and contributes on Stack Overflow, where he helps others solve complex data challenges.
